Thanks, Best Buy. Well, I guess it was on sale.

I almost tried to floss with a Q-tip.

Earwax is probably not minty.

Morespace External USB Drive Might Suck

So I bought this external hard drive for a decent price at Microcenter a few months ago. Hadn’t used it other than to see how it works.

With my new box getting in soon, I backed up all the stuff I want to keep onto it. Looks good. Much faster and easier than copying to DVDs.

So then I deleted and uninstalled a ton of stuff because I’m selling the computer to someone. Unfortunately, now Windows isn’t detecting the drive.

Hammer Storage’s website pretty much sucks. The FAQs link for morespace on the “support” page redirects to the main support page, which is probably a mistake. There isn’t any software on the site for the morespace drives, so if I have deleted something I shouldn’t have, I have no way of reinstalling it. I can’t find any help on the internet about it because apparently it’s not exactly a well-known company.

Hopefully I just accidentally deleted something and it will work on the new computer at least once, just enough to get the important files off of it.

I did find some reviews on newegg about this item. A lot of people liked it, but there are a bunch that look like they had the same problem I have. The files are probably lost. Hopefully this is covered under the 1 year warranty, though really, what good is a replacement that breaks just as easily as the original did?
